Videos made by the Birds!

This one, Books Come Alive, is the result of a library filmmaking class, and the boys had a fun time making it!

Stop Motion Animationwas a fun hobby in our family for a while. Here are some of our favorite creations! (Click the links to see the videos.)

Star Wars, the latest quick project by Braden and his friend Dallin!

Creation, Macen’s 6th Grade Reflections Entry for 2013. He was going to add some sound effects, but ran out of time. Maybe he’ll add some after the fact… Either way, he got an Award of Excellence (“These entries are excellent interpretations of the Reflections theme, exceptionally creative, and executed extremely well”) for this and it advanced to the District level competition. Way to go Macen!

The Photobombing of Tatooine, Braden’s first animation. Love the Star Wars theme! (Can you see the 3 photobombers at the end? )

Adam watched his big brothers do theirs, then made this one totally on his own. Resourceful for sure! **He didn’t quite finish; he said he still has a few more pictures to take and sound effects to record, but I don’t know if he’ll finish at this point… still fun to see his creativity at work!

Stop Motion: an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.
